Hot Salami Pizza
Enough sauce for 4 individual pizzas.
Ingredients for Sauce
- 400 g sugo
- Pinch of dried oregano
- Pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper
Ingredients for Topping
For 1 personal pizza
- 3 tbs finely chopped flat leaf parsley
- 1/3 cup finely grated mozzarella
- 45 g thinly sliced hot salami
- 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 (about 125 g) buffalo mozzarella
- 6 large mint leaves
Method
- Tip sugo in pan, add oregano, salt and pepper and cook for 10
minutes until sauce thickens.
- Set aside to cool.
- Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat the oven and stone to
250oC fan forced.
- Place dough onto the very hot pizza stone.
- Spoon over about 2 tbs of pizza sauce then sprinkle with parsley
and mozzarella.
- Top with salami and cherry tomatoes.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes or until base is golden and crisp.
- Tear the buffalo mozzarella and scatter over the pizza.
- Top with mint leaves and serve.
