Pizza Base

Makes four individual pizzas

Ingredients

Method

  1. Combine yeast, sugar, salt, water and oil in a bowl.
  2. Whisk to combine.
  3. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes until bubbles start to appear on the surface.
  4. Transfer to a large bowl, add flour and bring together in the bowl with your hands.
  5. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place into a bowl, cover and stand in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  7. Knock down the dough. Use about 180 g (1/4 of the dough) for one pizza
  8. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth
  9. Roll out until 3mm thick.
